Don’t miss My Petite Bourgeois Revolution, opening tonight at Northern Contemporary 7-11pm!
A tongue-in-cheek Revolution for those suffering from first world problems, My Petite Bourgeois Revolution isn’t about starvation, cake eating and guillotines. It’s about the lack of WiFi, overpriced coffee and overloaded transit. It’s an urbane revolution for the comfortable bourgeois elite, the art student sophisticate, and the bored bohemian who can’t get cable.
Alëna Skarina was recently commissioned by agency Anomaly to illustrate 6 out of 16 limited edition TWIZZLERS artist packs. Nice Shoes Creative Director Matt Greenwood created this 15-second spot animation, bringing to life the various ways people enjoy Twizzlers.

Poking fun at the problems or examining the minutia of every day life while simultaneously revealing that we actually have it pretty good compared to a 1920’s Ukrainian Kulak, My Petite Bourgeois Revolution is a cutting, acerbic and fun exploration of our daily lives.
The show runs May 18th – June 5th at Northern Contemporary. Details here.
