November 19, 2013James Turner was recently commissioned to created a number of illustrations for John Roberton of KBS+ for Ontario Power Generation’s information web site on their “Safe Place to Store†Deep Geologic Repository public proposal.
Yesterday Tomio Nitto went to the David Cronenberg EVOLUTION Show at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Tomio is not only a big fan of Mr. Cronenberg’s work, he has had the great pleasure of doing work for him. Tomio created artworks for both movies ‘The Fly’ and ‘Madama Butterfly’. Tomio was delighted to have the original artworks signed by Mr. Cronenberg.
Maurice Vellekoop creates a unique gift for Glenn Pushelberg on his approaching significant birthday. Maurice was commissioned by George Yabu to create an original watercolour-on-paper ABC book for Glenn’s Birthday. Maurice came up with sketches based on text that George supplied for this one-of-a-kind book. Â The amazing Don Taylor, a Toronto book binder, created a plate using Maurice’s hand drawn typography for the embossed cover. Â Here is the cover and just a few inside pieces.
