Artists Jessie Durham and Alëna Skarina are exhibiting work in a group exhibition, “Romance of the Wheel – Love, Hate and Cycling” at Jet Fuel Coffee Shop, 519 Parliament Street, Toronto.

Overnight trip to Winnipeg last week to give a talk at the Graphic Design Open House at Red River College. Got to catch up with Ken Stampnick, one of the original Reactor artists (circa 1982) who’s been teaching at the College since he returned to Winnipeg over 20 years ago.

Fundraising for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund
Japanese Canadian artists are holding a sale of art to support victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. All proceeds from the sale go to the JCCC Foundation/ Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. The sale will take place May 13 and 14 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in the Territories Room, 100 Front Street West. For further info, contact artforjapan@yahoo.ca
